Healthy Eats in Park City

Living Like Olympians
A healthy, active lifestyle is the norm in Park City. Studies consistently conclude that Parkites are far above national averages for healthy weight and exercise and it seems all of us are consistently working on becoming the best version of ourselves, both inside and out. Everyone knows that a healthy diet is fundamental to physical and emotional wellbeing, but it can be hard to make this the priority when time is short. Luckily, there are many places in Park City that serve quick, nutritious meals that are delicious too. We want to clue you in on a few hidden gems we love.

100% Fresh Fare at Fair Weather
A Park City icon, Fair Weather Natural Foods is still a tucked-away unknown to many, even though it is the longest-established natural food grocery and café in all of Summit County.  It’s located in the Iron Horse district a few doors down from Windy Ridge Café or Right at Home. In the back of the market is a 100% organic kitchen that cooks up the healthiest soups and sandwiches in town.  They also offer fresh-squeezed juices and delicious smoothies. Owned and operated by locals, for locals, Fair Weather remains loyal Parkite’s most well-regarded source of healthy eats. “I look forward to every opportunity I get to introduce someone to Fair Weather Natural Foods,” said Steve Chin. “It never disappoints on quality or taste.”

My Liquid Garden of Eden
Nestled away in the back of Kimball Junction, My Liquid Garden serves nothing but the highest quality fresh juices and wholesome treats. After seeing her own health improve dramatically by adding fresh vegetable juice to her diet, owner/operator Anne Marie Portnoy dedicated her life to helping others achieve optimal health too. Beginning long before sunrise, Anne Marie and her crew prepare a wide variety of juice combinations to suit every palate and health goal.  In the early hours they deliver juice to the doors of subscribers to her service, and turn on the lights of their storefront located across the street from Maxwell’s. To meet the needs of Valley commuters, they’ve added organic cold-brewed coffees and commute-friendly snacks and meals. “My Liquid Garden has become an integral part of maintaining my health,” Ann MacQuoid. “They’ve kept all the nutrition, but removed all the inconvenience!”

Whole Foods, Gold Foods
It comes as a surprise to many but Whole Foods Market has a cafe hidden in plain site, making it the one-stop-shop location for everyone’s groceries and a fantastic afternoon lunch. “I never thought that I would say ‘I want to go to a grocery store for lunch’ … but here I am, eating at Whole Foods Market on an almost weekly basis,” said Dena Fleming during a lunch interview. “Their grilled salmon sandwich is one of my favorites.” Offering the freshest produce, delicious soups and sandwiches, the highest quality meats, and much more, Whole Foods will satisfy the pickiest eaters while helping them maintain Park City optimal health.

The Passion and The Pride
Parkites pride themselves on maintaining their physical fitness and overall health. While everyone can’t be an Olympian, we all want to keep the flame of well-being burning bright. We strive to improve ourselves each day, trying to do just a little better than the day before. From our family to yours, CMFH wishes everyone good luck in achieving their personal fitness and health goals this coming year.
