Park City’s Spooktacular Halloween

October 15th, 2018 | Park City Community

Halloween is the official start of the holiday season in Park City, and we go big. For the evening of October 31st, Historic Main Street overflows with crazy costumes, bags full of candy, and dogs on parade.  Whether you’re looking for family-friendly activities for your kids or a wild night of people-watching for Mom and Dad, Main Street is the place to be.

Trick Or Treating on Main for the Kids
Halloween celebrations kick off on Main Street with trick-or-treating for the kids. From 3-5 p.m. the street fills with candy-seeking tiny ghosts, goblins, princesses, ninja turtles, unicorns, and almost anything else Moms can cook up. Every year dozens of Main Street merchants participate in the affair so kids can have a fun and safe trick-or-treating night on the town.

Howl-O-Ween Parade for the Pooches
The Howl-O-Ween Parade is one of Park City’s finest traditions, and locals go all out to dress up their doggies. Tiny tacos, ninja turtles, lions, dinosaurs, and beyond, the dog costumes never cease to amaze everyone. If you want to join in the parade with your pooch, join the gathering on Lower Main Street (by the bridge) at 4:45 p.m. ahead of the parade that starts at 5:00pm.  Even if you don’t have a dog, this is a marvel won’t want to miss!

Nightlife for the Grown Ups!
Since Halloween didn’t magically line up with the weekend this year, many of Main Street’s partying venues will celebrate Halloween early the weekend prior. But have no fear, you’ll still see plenty of monsters out on the town on the 31st. Deck yourself out in your finest costume and head out in search of your favorite treat any of Main Street’s bars.

We at Chin-MacQuoid-Fleming-Harris hope you’ll join us on Historic Main Street to celebrate Halloween on the 31st! We’re two generations deep in our office now, so you’ll see us with all the grandkids during trick-or-treating. Like Park City, this celebration has gotten bigger every year, but maintained its warm small-town ambiance. Please say hello when we see you! For this week, Bats all Folks!
