As the Park City community joins many across the world in a unified effort to reduce the impacts of COVID-19, local restaurants, grocery stores and charitable organizations are coming together to provide outlets for folks looking to contribute as well as those needing assistance. Their also at the ready to serve you your favorite restaurants meal at home, ease the burden of grocery shopping and help you up your culinary game!
Last week, the Summit County Health Department mandated the closure of a wide variety of venues in order to minimize further community spread, beginning with all restaurants and bars. But while dine-in food service is unavailable right now, more than three dozen Park City restaurants are offering take-out through curbside, drive-through or delivery services.
What’s more, some establishments are offering locals’ specials to help you keep your family fed! At Bangkok Thai on Main, pick from their selection of entrees made fresh to order and delivered curbside is just $15. They also have vacuum-packed frozen to-go entrees that can keep for up to 90 days for just $10. Freshies Lobster Co. has 20-percent-off coupons for members of their mailing list. Local caterers Savoury Kitchen is offering extended services including grocery delivery while Element Kitchen is offering free delivery to seniors and immunocompromised individuals.

Some quick tips for staying safe with take-out and delivery include choosing contactless delivery, paying online or by phone beforehand and opting out of utensils. Discard delivery containers immediately and transfer to your own dishware, washing your hands frequently and thoroughly after handling to-go packaging as well as currency/credits cards. Expand Your Cooking Skills
Looking to take advantage of the time by trying a new recipe? Park City grocery stores are open and operating with adjusted, temporary store hours to allow them to clean and sanitize as well as stock for the next day. They also offer personal shopping with delivery and pickup options and designated shopping hours for seniors age 60 and older.
For your organic and specialty needs, Fairweather Foods is open 10 a.m. -5 p.m. daily, and Whole Foods is open 8 a.m.-8 p.m. daily with senior shopping daily from 7-8 a.m.
Smith’s Food and Drug also is open 8 a.m.-8 p.m. daily, with senior shopping from 7-8 a.m. on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Temporary hours at Fresh Market Park City and Jeremy Ranch locations are 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday-Saturday, and Sundays from 11 a.m.-5 p.m.; senior-shopping hour is 8-9 a.m. on Monday-Saturday, and Sundays from 10-11 a.m.
The Market at Park City is operating under regular hours, with online shopping for pick-up and delivery available.
Pay It Forward
Looking to contribute or pay it forward to service workers out of work during the closures? Park City encourages your continued support, whatever that looks like for you in the coming weeks and months.
Many restaurants offer gift cards for purchase, and Diversified Bars and Restaurants (DBR) recently announced they are donating all proceeds from gift-card sales to its service staff family. Purchase one online at No Name Saloon/The Annex, Butcher’s Chop House & Bar and Boneyard Saloon/Wine Dive.
Donations to Eats Park City and the Christian Center of Park City (CCPC) will help their expanded Backpack program, which provides food for free- and reduced-lunch kids in Summit County. Contributions also can be made to CCPC as they continue to operate the Park City and Heber Valley food pantries during this time as well as their basic needs assistance program.
