Remember the magic: 2-year-old Luke shows no fear during family ski day
Fall in love with skiing all over again through the eyes of 2-year-old Luke, the littlest Chin|Fleming|Harris team member and son of CMFH realtor Jacquelyn Harris Grayson and her husband, Steven. Follow Luke as he clicks in and straps on for a family adventure at Park City Mountain, exploring the easy-going terrain along First Time and 3 Kings chairlifts. Mom and dad may hold the reigns, but it’s Luke who takes lead during this sweet ski day.
“Our whole family enjoys skiing both Park City and Deer Valley,” says Jacquelyn, who also enjoys taking Luke to Deer Valley’s beginner area at Snow Park, which also features two lifts and a “magic carpet.”
“We love that both resorts are a five-minute drive or short bus ride from our home, and we especially love that now we all get on the mountain as a family. Whether it’s just for an hour with Luke or an afternoon with just Steven and me, we find that we’re eager to get out more frequently.”
For novice skiers and snowboarders looking to take the next step, perhaps consider exploring High Meadow Park on the Canyons Village side of Park City Mountain. Open since 2018, High Meadow Park features three “Adventure Alleys,” specially designed runs by Park City’s Ski and Snowboard School team that offer an enhanced learning area for all resort guests. The alleys, located mid-mountain near Red Pine Lodge, are accessed by a detachable, high-speed quad chairlift – High Meadow Express – with options for off-trail or groomed experiences.
Luke’s delightful day on the slopes ends with a couple of snowballs, a high five and a trip to local favorite Ritual Chocolate Café for hot chocolate – with whipped cream and marshmallows, of course!
