Park City is world renowned for the lifestyle of its residents – all-in and all-out! We pride ourselves on being active, well informed, and active participants in making the world a better place for everyone. That’s why Parkites have declared March to be a whole month of giving generously to the 100+ non-profit organizations that do so much good work in our community. At Chin-Fleming-Harris we donate our time and funds to many NPO’s, but we’d like to highlight a few of our favorites.
Red, White and Snow, 3/7 – 9/2019, NAC
Founded in 1985, The National Ability Center (NAC) is an organization that has united around a collective vision to inspire individual achievement and create a global impact for people with disabilities. Their premier fundraiser, Red, White and Snow, is a weekend of events that would make for a dream vacation, but it’s even better than that. Utah’s top chefs and the nation’s finest vintners come together to raise funds for adaptive, recreational programs for individuals of all abilities. The generous contributions of vintners and chefs alike make this event possible while also helping individuals of all abilities discover the possibilities at the National Ability Center.Their weekend-long fete is three days of events, starting with Uncorked on Thursday, March 7 at Stein Eriksen Lodge. Friday, March 8 begins with Wine on the Mountain and ends with our ever popular Vintner Dinners. The weekend culminates in our Gala Dinner and Auction with sublime food, entertainment and auction items on March 9.
Saints & SinnersBall– 3/16/2019, Park City Institute
Founded in 1998, Park City Institute (PCI) introduces emerging artists, welcomes celebrated musicians, produces award winning theater and creates intimate opportunities for Park City to experience and engage with the world’s most creative, inspiring, thoughtful and provocative minds. Their annual fundraiser, Saints and Sinners Ball, is part costume party, part fundraiser, and 100% outrageously fun evening! “The Saints and Sinners Ball is a rollicking good time for a great cause,” said PCI Executive Director, Teri Orr. “The funds we raise at this year’s ball will allow us to continue to entertain, educate and illuminate our community with performances, Curiosities Evenings, and Student Outreach programs.” The soiree entices cherubs, gangsters, despots, angels and devils, to gather at the St. Regis Deer Valley, Saturday March 16, 2019. The revelry begins at 6:00 p.m. Dressing the part is encouraged, but not required.
Celebrity Ski & Smile Challenge – 3/23/2019, Operation Smile
Founded in 1982 by physicians dedicated to providing children of the world surgical repair of cleft palates, Operation Smile (OS) has changed the lives of hundreds of thousands of children who would have been destined to a life of serious disfiguration and difficulty. In support of their mission, Deer Valley Resort is hosting a fundraiser that combines three of Park City’s favorite things: skiing, friendly competition, and great food. The event consists of teams of five racers competing against one another in a head-to-head dual slalom race where the best overall team score wins. Afterwards, all are invited to enjoy dinner prepared by Deer Valley’s award winning culinary team. Park City, Salt Lake City, Los Angeles and New York business and community leaders, celebrity Smile Ambassadors and philanthropically-minded individuals will join together to lend their support to ensure children around the world are given new smiles.
Pink Park City– 3/23/2019, Huntsman Cancer Institute
Pink Park City is a ski day dedicated to conquering more than just the slopes, but also conquering cancer by supporting research at Huntsman Cancer Institute. For the second year, Park City Mountain will be covered in pink with pink parties, pink decorations, and hundreds of pink skiers all rallying together for a day of fun that also supports Huntsman’s efforts to create a world that is cancer-free. 100% of the funds raised will go toward the research needed to end this dreaded disease that has touched the lives of all of us.
