The countdown is on to Live PC Give PC, our community-wide day of giving, which runs for 24 fun-filled hours this Friday, Nov. 5. Whether you live, work, stay or play in Park City, you know that everyone benefits in some way from the many local nonprofits that help make our town and Summit County such a wonderful place.

Perhaps the best and most unique aspect of Live PC Give PC is that it’s about participation, not the dollar amount. The minimum donation is just $5, and event organizer Park City Community Foundation (PCCF) makes it easy to not only designate specifically where you’d like your contribution to go, but also PCCF provides multiple opportunities to maximize your donation through matching programs and prizes.

This year, PCCF has set its most ambitious participation goal ever as it aims for 6,500 unique donors — nearly 500 more people than last year — to give to more than 140 nonprofit fundraisers during the 24-hour giving period that kicks off at 12:01 a.m. on Friday. Last year, 6,043 donors gave a stunning $3.48 million to 113 local nonprofits, a feat made more impressive considering it came amid the coronavirus pandemic, when nonprofits needed our assistance the most.

Since 2011, more than $16 million has been raised for Park City and Summit County nonprofits through Live PC Give PC and support programs ranging from arts, education, health care and animal welfare to trails, environmental efforts, cultural and recreational programs and social services. Read on to find out more about how can share your appreciation in a way that’s most meaningful to you!

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

12:01 a.m.–11:59 p.m., Donate online: Choose from more than 140 nonprofit fundraisers at livepcgivepc.org and donate whatever you can to your favorite causes ($5 minimum). New donors will have each early-day donations boosted by $10. Most nonprofits have matching gifts where your donation will be doubled.

7 a.m.–6 p.m., On the street: As always, nonprofit staff members and volunteers will take to the street and street corners wearing the day’s signature orange T-shirts to promote Live PC Give PC and their causes. Honk and wave as you drive by to show your support!

7 a.m.–6 p.m., Donation stations: Many nonprofit partners and volunteers will be available at businesses around town promoting Live PC Give PC and their causes and facilitating donations. Say hi and easily make your donation to a favorite cause.

5:30–6:30 p.m.: Watch the Live PC Give PC livestream: Watch the Live PC Give PC Livestream at livepcgivepc.org for updates about giving results, interviews, videos from the nonprofits, music and more.

7 p.m.: Get inspired by community — watch “The Rescue” at Santy Auditorium: Park City Filmpresents “the Rescue,” a documentary film about the shared humanity of the international community that united for a daring rescue of 12 boys and their coach from deep inside a flooded cave in Thailand — a great way to celebrate the power of community.

5–9 p.m.: Party under the stars! Live PC Give PC participants, including nonprofits, volunteers, donors and members of the community, are invited to celebrate Park City’s nonprofit community with a street party in historic downtown Park City. Bundle up and join in the fun on Park Avenue between 7th Street and Heber Ave. Children admitted with parent or guardian.

All day: Get social! Make your own fun using the hashtag #livepcgivepc and tag “@parkcitycf” in your social media posts. Take your kids on a scavenger hunt to find all the dressed-up statues or wear orange and do a lap on your favorite trail! Or simply host your own party and get creative with friends and family to celebrate our generous community.
