Wine and dine your way into the heart of fall harvest season

September 20th, 2022 | Park City Community

As September fades into October and the heart of the fall-harvest season, it’s only fitting that now is the time for Park City to deliver some of your favorite flavors as well as offer the opportunity to expand your horizons on the victuals front.

The Park City Wine Festival returns next week, Sept. 29-Oct. 1, and coincides with “the Crush” in California, which loosely refers to the time from August-November when the grapes are harvested, the fruit is crushed, and the juice is prepared for wine. While multiple events are sold out, there are still plenty of chances to participate in this delectable festival that features more than 100 wineries and several distilleries.

BEFORE YOU GO…

Park City Sunrise Rotary Club and High West Distillery will join forces for the much-anticipated return of the Sixth Annual Park City Shot Ski, set for Saturday, Oct. 15, at 2 p.m.

In 2019, a 2,610-foot-long shot ski served 1,310 people using 515 skis end-to-end, raising $34,565 for the Park City Sunrise Rotary Club grant program. This fall, organizers aim to break the 2019 records with the goal of serving 1,330 shot takers and raising $35,000. Just in case you’re wondering… they estimate it will take 525 skis stretching 2,670 feet long!

Tickets prices start at $25 and include one spot on the shot ski, one shot of High West whiskey, one souvenir shot glass and a chance to be part of another world record! Grab your ticket and take your spot alongside other thirsty participants as everyone assumes their positions behind the communal shot ski along Park City’s Historic Main Street.
