5:00 AM, The Best Time for Checking Emails

Before our day truly begins, we start by checking our emails, texts, and calendars. With so many clients across different time zones, we often get emails and text messages at all hours of the day. Blocking off time first thing in the morning to answer everything and get caught up is essential to planning our day. However, as you’ll see a little later, those plans can sometimes change.

From there, if we have time, we might try and squeeze in a workout. Since we’re lucky enough to live in Park City, this could mean a gym session or even a short hike or ski depending on what the day looks like. Getting your blood flowing early in the morning is a great way to start the day with momentum!

Checking In with Our Network

Mornings are also a great time to check in with the various service providers and professionals we work with. On any given day, we could be working with lawyers, appraisers, inspectors, plumbers, electricians, stagers, photographers, banks, mortgage brokers—the list is infinite!

Much of our work is driven by deadlines and checking in on the progress of our projects is essential in keeping transactions running smoothly for our clients.

Monday’s Are For Team Meetings

Here at CFH, we’re more than a team—we’re a family. While we are almost always in contact with each other, we rarely get to rub shoulders and meet in person, especially during the busy high season in Park City. That’s why we have team meetings every Monday. It’s our chance to get together, share updates and ideas, get advice from our colleagues, and more. It’s also the day of the week when our marketing team gets to pick our brains about blog, video, and social media content!

Flexibility is Key

As much as we like to plan our days, sometimes even our best efforts are not enough. On any given day, all it takes is one 15-second phone call to potentially change the entire trajectory of the day.

However, it’s not truly an issue for us. Working in a dynamic industry like real estate, we have our eyes on the market all the time and things can change fast. As a result, we’re all fantastic at the art of pivoting depending on what our clients need. Being flexible, juggling multiple priorities, and wearing numerous hats is just a fact of life for us—and to be honest, it keeps things interesting and we wouldn’t have it any other way!

Maybe we finally hear back from a contractor we were waiting on. Perhaps a client unexpectedly came to town and wanted to see some properties while they were here. Or maybe we’ve received offers to review. There’s no telling what can come up during the course of a day.

There are some days when you get home and the day you had looks remarkably different from the day you planned!

You’re Going to Hear From Us—A Lot

Transparency and good communication are essential to us. That means staying in touch with clients and updating them whenever it’s needed. This could be a simple phone call, a quick text, an email, or even a quick visit.

In addition to checking in with you when you’re in the process of selling a property, we might even check in with you when you don’t expect it! For example, did you know there are a lot of listings in Park City that never make it to the MLS®? There’s no way to know about these off-market sales unless you have an expert on the inside. That’s where we come in.
