What’s not often highlighted on that list, but should be, is the Jordanelle Reservoir. This 10+ mile body of water makes P.C. a truly year-round outdoor sport haven with boating, fishing, camping, and much more.
Not So Many Moons Ago
While the Jordanelle is only 22 years old, it feels to us as though it has been with us for generations. Construction of the dam began in 1987 and was completed in 1993. Originally, it was built for only functional purposes of water supply management, but locals soon moved for the development of access to the fun such a huge body of water presented. Opening as a state park in 1995, every year since visitors have enjoyed expansion of what’s offered there. “Since it’s only a ten-minute drive from home, the Jordanelle has become our #1 choice for where to spend warm summer days,” said Ann MacQuoid. “There’s just nothing that says summer like lazing the day away in a lawn chair and watching kids play in the water.”
Activities at the Jordanelle
Jordanelle Reservoir offers a wide range of year-round activities ranging from ice fishing, to paddle boarding. The fishing is fantastic with stocked catches of brown trout, largemouth bass, yellow perch, and many more. If you’re looking for a great way to “kick the kids outside,” look no further than Jordanelle’s Aqua X Zone. This giant inflated island on the water offers kids a innumerable of ways to jump, flip, slide and climb. They’ll have the time of their lives!

You don’t need to load up your garage with watersport toys – Jordanelle Rentals offers a wide number of things to rent: paddle boards, jets skis, and even full-size boats are available for very reasonable fees. Have you ever wanted to feel like iron man flying around with rockets on your feet? Jordanelle Rentals newest and most exciting experience are their new Flydives – water rockets strapped to your feet allow you to fly, spin, flip, and dive like a super hero! “Put me on the list for that one,” said Steve Chin. “Superhero, here I come!”
