The holidays might feel a little different this year, but Park City visitors and residents can still enjoy one of Christmastime’s most time-honored traditions: a festive meal filled with delectable favorites. No matter your dining comfort level this winter season, Park City restaurants have options for everyone. We’ve got you covered on everything from places to dine, to advice on how to eat out safely and even a couple activity and shopping ideas to help make your Christmas merry and bright!
Park City restaurants are open for Christmas!
While many places are taking reservations for dine-in (book your reservations now!), plenty of establishments are also providing meals for curbside pickup and delivery. For a truly effortless Christmas, several establishments offer premade options that range from full meals to classic casseroles and delectable desserts. Whether searching for a celebratory evening out or a cozy night in, there’s a Park City area eatery perfect for you.
Before dining out, however, make sure to review Utah’s restaurant guidelines to avoid any surprises at your dinner destination. Please remember to mask up, expect to need reservations and check the establishment’s website for any specific guidelines and to reserve a spot if possible.
Dine under the stars
Perhaps by now you’ve seen the “Snow Globe Stroll,” Main Street’s interactive holiday globe exhibit, but several local eateries are bringing that experience to their restaurants thanks to addition of Alpenglobes, a 360-degree dining adventure. Part stargazing observatory, part gondola carriage and part secluded conclave, the gorgeous Alpenglobes provide an enhanced and intimate dining experience. Globes are climate controlled, beautifully appointed and seat six to eight guests.
Butcher’s Chop House & Bar features three Alpenglobes set on their scenic outdoor patio that offer panoramic views of the mountains and Town Lift Plaza. Stein Eriksen Lodge has four Alpenglobes on the deck of its Mountain Lodge, which offer captivating Deer Valley views for outdoor dining and lounging. And just outside Park City in Midway, Café Galleria has multiple Alpenglobes available for breakfast, lunch and dinner reservations.
Bonus activity: Be sure to check out the antique-style gingerbread creation at Stein’s, a 19-year tradition. This year’s classic design stands 7 feet tall and 3 feet wide and features 45 pounds of gingerbread and nearly 60 pounds of royal icing! Construction took approximately 100 hours over four weeks, engineered by a skilled corps of gingerbread professionals led by Executive Pastry Chef Jeremy Garcia.
Christmas is on the menu
Flanagan’s on Main will offer a special Christmas menu on Dec. 24 and 25 that includes a choice of appetizers and entrees as well as their traditional menu of award-winning Irish Fayre. Courchevel Bistro is set to celebrate with their special family-style “Le Réveillon de Noël,” available on Christmas Eve and offering a French take on holiday traditions.
Looking to host Christmas dinner at home, or simply want to spend more time with family rather than over a hot stove? Consider holiday take away including curbside pickup or delivery options.
Windy Ridge Bakery is a Christmas staple, baking up sweet treats like their Mile High Apple Pie as well as a complete holiday ham dinner for four. Riverhorse Provisions has multiple options to choose from their take-and-bake holiday meal packs, available through Dec. 26. And Deer Valley’s Grocery Café is offering delicious take-away entrées, side dishes, desserts and more, available for pickup Dec. 23.
Craving a cocktail? The Bartenders Brunch Box can be delivered to your door (or picked up) and includes all the delicious fixings (minus the alcohol) for mimosas and Bloody Mary’s. Try a spiced pear cider mimosa with a cinnamon sugar rim and plum bitters to truly step up your Christmas morning mimosa game.
